My Thoughts About Treatment

Be Proactive in Your Treatment
My advice is to make sure you are getting proper treatment and timely treatment. If you do not feel you are receiving this, get on the phone and pressure the Dr. or HMO to provide proper services. I don't think they like it when you do this so I believe they will often times step in and deal with the problem to quiet you down. Backup your request in writing so that they know you have written records which may also make them nervous. Maybe have your attorney send a letter if you are not getting results. And if your oncologist is not treating you properly, find one who will. You deserve the best treatment and humane doctor you can find. The best sources for the names of doctors will be the women in your local support groups.

Whatever You Say Doctor
The last words a woman should ever use are "whatever you say doctor". You are in charge of your life and you have a right to make decisions about your treatment based on being fully informed. Make sure you exercise these rights. To date there is no cure for breast cancer — any treatment your doctor does is experimental.

Educate yourself
Find out as much as you can about your breast cancer and its treatment. I highly recommend the Ralph Moss Report because it will be written individually for your situation. It will have all the standard treatments, alternative treatments, what supplements to take, about chinese medicine, and more. It is concise, to the point, and the best source of breast cancer information I've found. It was better than the 22 books and 200 hours I spent researching breast cancer which just got me confused. You can get it by clicking here.
